The Media, Effectiveness & Insights team at the Center of Expertise (CoE) Brand, Marketing & Communications is looking for a Research Expert who will partner directly with brand and product marketeers to recommend, plan and execute market research in pursuit of a deeper understanding of customers’ attitudes, beliefs and motivations.

The Research Expert will lead efforts to uncover insights that will strengthen our brand strategy and positioning. This role is critical to understanding our customers, market landscape and competitors, enabling us to make data driven decisions that drive brand equity and advocacy.

The team

As Research Expert you’ll join the Media, Effectiveness & Insights team and report into the Head of Media, Effectiveness & Insights. The team consists of 1 lead and 7 experts, of which 4 media experts, 1 analytics expert and 2 insights expert of which you are one!

Roles and responsibilities

You will collaborate closely with the other teams in the CoE Brand, Marketing & Communications to elevate research findings and translate them into valuable insights, whilst also working with your peers across different markets and HQ to increase knowledge sharing.

The key to success is your ability to understand the needs of the CoE Brand, Marketing & Communications and the business segments, translate these into research / insight projects and action them.

Some of the key responsibilities are but not limited to:

  • Advise and interact with cross-team stakeholders on their market research needs and objectives.

  • Set-up, manage and execute market research projects from A to Z, in close collaboration with colleagues and key stakeholders.

  • Partner with marketing, product and CX teams to align brand research insights with business goals.

  • Manage ongoing brand health tracking study, including design, sampling and interpretation of results.

  • Collaborate with external research partners and agencies to ensure high quality data collection and analysis.

  • Support the development of campaigns and brand strategies by providing data-driven insights.

  • Partner with global research colleagues to define KPI's for brand performance and deliver actionable recommendations to optimise strategy.

  • Clearly summarise and communicate research findings in appealing visuals and copy that conveys your message and the insight that needs to be shared.

  • Managing relationship with external vendors; such as research, media agencies & consultancies.

  • Connect research findings to other sources (analytics, media, social listening) to widen the findings and the reach of your insights.

  • Support on consolidating & harmonising other data streams to aid in complimenting insight provision.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in brand research techniques e.g. AI-driven insights.

How to succeed

  • Market research experience; setting-up and the execution of research projects, preferably quant and qualitative.

  • Advanced knowledge of research fundamentals, such as sample representativeness and drafting questionnaires.

  • In-depth understanding of brand measurement frameworks, including brand equity models and funnels.

  • Experience with brand and comms research.

  • Strong project management skills; running multiple projects at the same time with attention to detail.

  • Experience with analysing data tables and reporting using with Excel and Power Point.

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Who are you?

  • Bachelor or Master degree in marketing or other relevant degree.

  • 5+ years professional experience either with market research company or on the brand side.

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to connect research insights to broader business objectives.

  • Cultural awareness to ensure research reflects diverse customer perspectives.

  • Data driven attitude: true data curiosity and the ability to derive new insights.

  • Strong multitasking, accuracy and prioritising skills in fast paced environment.

  • Creative approach to problem solving; always looking for improvements.

  • Flexible, likes to explore, can handle change, and not yet set project boundaries.

  • Excellent level in English spoken and written.
