The purpose of the COO Tech domain is to: Elevate transparency and control over which IT products and services are delivered and consumed throughout ING in a standardized manner, leading to faster, more cost-efficient, and increased usage of our growing technology platform.

The top structure of COO Tech consists of four subdepartments, with several teams operating under their leadership: 1) CTO Development & Support, 2) Change & Transformation, 3) Product & Service

Management and 4) Reporting & Insights (CDO).

The Data/Reporting Experts team will be led by the Lead Data/Reporting Experts, who will report directly to the Head of Reporting & Insights. This team will focus on two core areas: Data and Reporting for CTO-owned data and reports. The scope will include data management and cross domain/institutional reporting related to operational performance, risk, delivery, people, and delivery financials, excluding client or product-related reports. The team will be responsible for:

Data collection: Ingesting Systems of Record (SoRs) into the data warehouse

• Data standardization: Harmonizing the data

• Data consumption: Enabling data access for reporting and delivery

• Data engineering: Building and maintaining data pipelines

• Creating data marts/products: Developing data products that meet end-consumer needs

For Reporting, the team will manage standardized reporting and the overall reporting framework. COO Tech will house the BI developers. The team’s responsibilities include:

• Defining the overall reporting framework

• Designing reports for consumption

• Ensuring quality assurance of reports and data

• Building reporting views for end users

• Steering the reporting backlog across CTO

What you will do:

  • Team Lead : Lead the development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and data flows, ensuring alignment with business KPIs and governance standards

  • Team Management: Manage a team of Power BI developers and analysts, assigning roles and ensuring delivery quality.

  • Delivery : Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, business stakeholders, and IT to translate business needs into technical solutions

  • Reporting: Create and develop Complex Power BI reports and present to stakeholders, summarizing results, issues, and readiness for production deployment. Highlight any risks or concerns that need to be addressed.

  • Documentation: Prepare Technical documents and design documents as part of the Report Development

  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact between various teams, including business users, IT, and project managers. Facilitate clear communication to align expectations and address concerns.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues: Utilize in-depth analytical skills to identify and track problems, collaborate with extended team members for resolution, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.

  • Ensure data quality and Accuracy and be complaint with organization standards

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of design POCs, offering insights on user design considerations through profiling

What we are looking for:

  • Minium 8 years of experience as PowerBI Lead or BI specialist

  • Good experience in working in Agile

  • Extensive expertise in Power BI, with a solid understanding of DAX and M queries, and strong hands-on experience with SQL.

  • Strong in structuring team and leading them towards a single Goal

  • Strong skills to drive change: planning & alignment, solution design, stakeholder management

  • Visual Skills: Strong experience in Visual design skills, with a keen eye to aesthetics and details

  • High resilience, the ability to deal with ambiguity and a focus on collaboration

  • Proactive, a can-do mentality, a positive mind-set and organisational sensitivity

  • Excellent communication skills & English

  • PowerBI certifications is a plus
