Internship Tribe Finance & Reporting

[Internship for students currently enrolled in a Master’s degree, 5-6 months, Brussels]

Your work environment

The main objective of the Finance and Reporting department within the CFO domain of ING Belgium, is to deliver solutions for the ever-growing reporting needs inside and outside the bank (e.g. National Bank of Belgium, European Central Bank). Besides financial reporting, our department also reports on the loan portfolio and as such contributes to our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments.

Your key responsibilities

We are looking for young talents who wish to unlock their potential and put that into practice by supporting in the delivery of our projects. As member of a team, you collaborate with your colleagues to realize the team’s targets on BCBS 239 (standard which has the objective to strengthen the banks’ data management capabilities) roadmap and other data management related initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include one or more of the following activities:

· Data lineage: document data flows and dependencies across systems

· Data governance: assist in defining data ownership, policies and controls

· Data quality: collect business requirements, define data quality checks, and conduct monitoring.

· Reporting & documentation: create dashboards that show compliance with BCBS 239 principles

These activities will strengthen your hands-on skills in data management, data analytics, and regulatory compliance.

As a trainee in our department Finance & Reporting:

· You are finalizing your Master or MBA studies in Economics, Management, Business Administration, Civil Engineering or likewise, and are seeking an internship of 5 or 6 months

· You are interested in banking and more specifically, in the financial reporting and data management related activities

· You are eager to learn, and you dare to take on a challenge

· You are fluent in English
