As Head of Marketing Communications, you will lead a team of marketing communication experts and play a key role in connecting strategy, stakeholders and execution. You combine strong people leadership with a deep understanding of customers, marketing effectiveness and creative excellence.

You know how to translate business priorities into impactful marketing initiatives that are relevant for customers and effective for the business.

The team

As Head of Marketing Communications, you will join the Marketing team and report directly to the Head of Brand & Marketing.

Working closely with business stakeholders, brand, media, and external partners and agencies, you will ensure priorities are translated into clear plans, strong execution and measurable results.

How to succeed

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in marketing roles, with a proven track record of building strong campaigns, delivering business results and leading high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated people management experience, including coaching, developing and inspiring teams to perform at their best.
  • Passionate about understanding customers and what matters in their lives, with the ability to translate customer insights into relevant marketing, compelling campaigns and meaningful business impact.
  • Strong belief in outside-in marketing, creating communications that start from customer realities rather than product features.
  • Ability to combine brand building and commercial effectiveness, ensuring marketing delivers both long-term brand value and measurable business impact.
  • A sharp eye for creative excellence, storytelling and customer relevance, with the ability to challenge teams, agencies and stakeholders to consistently raise the quality and effectiveness of marketing output.
  • Experience operating successfully in complex, matrixed organisations with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to create alignment, navigate ambiguity and drive progress across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to maintain a strategic overview while ensuring strong execution and delivery.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in Dutch, French and English.
  • Affinity with the financial sector is a plus.
