Mission

As Cards Ops Engineer you will work on multiple and various projects, you will implement the vision and strategy of Cards Tribe according to requests of developing for card infrastructure applications such as Cortex (our core banking system). You will contribute to developing, testing and automation of different processes, in relation with banking applications.

Your day-to-day

  • Implement/extend tools and frameworks in order to automate everything: integration, deployment, monitoring, functionality and performance;
  • Assess and optimize scalability and performance of developed components, and optimize automatic component deployment, configuration, and testing;
  • Focus on testing automation and processes automation in order to prevent human error and increase speed and traceability;
  • Responsible for finding solutions, workarounds and/or fixes in order to maintain and improve the functionality of the systems;
  • Produce and keep update different documents and procedures that are in relation with his area of support, records new solutions in the knowledge database and acts proactively, providing a report with the possible future issues that can arise in his/her area of expertise and the solutions to prevent those problems;
  • Manage project schedules, including testing and delivery to customers;
  • Research, document, and act as subject matter expert on specified applications;
  • Participate in design and improvement processes;
  • Proactively identify issues within the environment and resolve them;
  • Manage and prioritize issues and bugs with vendor and internal teams;
  • Manage Problem management process for incidents;
  • Create scripts to simplify processes and improve alerting;
  • Troubleshoots software and infrastructure issues as necessary, including hands-on correction of problems and working with necessary support teams to solve issues;
  • Participate in DR/BCP plans;
  • Working in an ITIL environment.

What you bring to the team

  • Strong knowledge and experience with DevOps tools and processes (Ansible, git);
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience;
  • Windows/Linux Server troubleshooting;
  • Knowledge of Oracle SQL or Microsoft SQL Server: Database objects (Triggers, Stored Procedures, Views, etc);
  • Knowledge of shell scripting will be an advantage;
  • Strong Service Delivery mindset and ability to visualize and shape business understanding and communicate in a way that gets stakeholder buy in;
  • Strong Debugging skills and problem solving mentality;
  • Organized person, focused, able to work under pressure responding to critical incidents calmly, but effectively and capable to meet certain deadlines;
  • Ability to work within the team;
  • Good organizational skills and commitment to fast follow through;
  • Good command of English;
  • Experience using Agile methodology.
