We started out in 2015 as ING’s software development hub – a distinct entity from ING Bank Romania – then steadily expanded our range to include more services and competencies.

Formerly known as ING Tech, as of 2022 we provide borderless services with bank-wide capabilities under the name of ING Hubs Romania and operate from two locations: Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca.

With the help of over 1600 engineers, risk, and operations professionals, we offer 130 services in tech, non-financial risk & compliance, audit and retail operations to 24 ING units worldwide.

Our tech capabilities remain the core of our business, with more than 1300 colleagues active in Data Management, TouchPoint Channels & Integration, Core Banking, and Global Products.

The Mission

The Performance & Reward Expert, designs, builds, implements and owns people solutions in the area of Performance & Reward including Compensation & Benefits, Performance Management, Job Architecture and Regulatory compliance (Gender pay gap, Equal pay for equal work, Pay transparency) to enable the organization to attract and retain talent.

Your day to day

  • Support the delivery of the annual compensation review provide relevant payroll, market pay, and employee engagement analyses and insights; draft employee communications and management briefings; prepare line-management decision-making tools;

  • Support the design and delivery of employee pay structures and benefit programs; provide financial, market, and legal analysis and insights; draft elements of the technical design; draft internal management reports;

  • Conduct research using primary data sources and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends;

  • Contribute to the drafting of HR frameworks and tools within an area of expertise, ensuring compliance with specified design principles, internal policies, and external legal requirements;

  • Contribute to the management of partnering relationships with internal clients (MT members, managers, HRBPs, local CoEs, global CoEs), building effective working relationships and providing high-quality professional services to support in delivering business strategy and plans;

  • Offer support to the design and delivery of compensation and job performance evaluation methods and processes; draft elements of the technical design; facilitate job evaluation programs and/or evaluate jobs, taking appropriate action to ensure consistency of standards;

  • Support local projects related to the implementation of different global regulatory requests, such as: IRRF, Global Remuneration procedure, gender pay, equal pay for equal work, performance management and those related to system implementing (Workday, Benchmarking, LSPP etc);

  • Responsible of maintaining and closing contracts and partnerships with suppliers which undergo surveys related to the pay market, medical services and benefits;

  • Help develop procedures and training material for the organization, and monitor their implementation and understanding;

  • Maintain and renew a deep knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, and ensure own work adheres to required standards.

What you’ll bring to the team

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in human resources, budget managing, preferably in banking/ tech industry or in a multinational company;

Soft skills/ competencies:

  • Proactive attitude, good planning and organizing skills, analytical thinking, results oriented, initiative, good communication and collaboration skills

  • Collaboration/team work, responsibility, support.

Foreign languages: Fluent in English (both written and speaking)

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Sociology or related; Good understanding of the Romanian labor law; good understanding of the banking/ tech business.
