Mission

As a Transaction Manager Lending within Wholesale Banking, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of lending transactions. You will be part of a dynamic team that supports the entire lending lifecycle, from the indicative term sheet preparation to legal documentation and in-life management of the transactions. This role offers the opportunity to work in a global environment, contributing to strategic initiatives and ensuring compliance and operational excellence.

Your day to day

  • Continuously monitor market trends and build a robust foundation of macro/ sectorial/ regional insights to understand and anticipate key drivers shaping the business landscape of ING Wholesale Banking clients

  • Identify new lending opportunities and build strong relationships with ING’s prospective and existing clients by presenting, offering, structuring and executing financing solutions tailored to their specific needs

  • Prepare credit applications by conducting thorough business and financial analysis, including financial modelling, stress testing and comprehensive risk assessments

  • Perform profitability and capital adequacy assessments as per internal policies and guidelines

  • Participate in negotiations with clients and other partners or third parties involved in lending transactions (e.g., banks, insurers, lawyers), while maintaining effective communication to ensure successful deal execution

  • Verify legal documentation, ensure fulfilment of conditions, monitor loan utilization and proper implementation within the bank’s systems, track covenants, prepare periodic reviews, etc

  • Collaborate closely with local and global internal stakeholders (Client Coverage, Risk, Legal, Operations, etc) to ensure a seamless execution of lending transactions

What you bring to the team

  • Academic background in Economics/ Finance/ Accounting/ Maths/ Statistics or equivalent

  • Experience in credit origination and execution within a banking environment is a plus

  • Excellent communication skills (Romanian and English), proactivity and ability to originate and build solid relationships

  • Knowledge of credit structuring, accounting standards, lending products and services, client and banking market dynamics

  • Excellent planning and organizational capabilities, results-oriented mindset, creative thinking, problem-solving skills, autonomy and a strong sense of responsibility
