ING Wholesale Banking Germany is the corporate banking segment of ING Germany. Here, our Metals, Mining and Fertilizers (“MMF”) team in Frankfurt is part of the EMEA organization, consisting of about 15 originators split between Amsterdam and Frankfurt. Within our global network – including coverage teams in Singapore (APAC) and New York (Americas) – we work as one universal team on a wide range of commodities (Copper, Gold, Steel, Aluminium, Lithium, Fertilizers etc.).

Your Tasks

• You create new client relationships and opportunities in the metals and mining space as well as manage already existing ones with a steady focus on potential and long-lasting partnerships.
• With your structuring and industry knowledge you originate, structure and execute transactions confidently while keeping a keen eye on balancing risks and opportunities.
• Additionally, you understand credit risk and know how to structure for it. You have worked with complex financial models in the past and are thus comfortable translating multifaceted challenges into tailored solutions for our clients.
• You are no stranger to documentation since you are familiar with project financing processes. You are also not afraid of taking the lead during negotiations and structuring discussions.
• You are a team player through and through and regard collaborating and teamwork as great tools. Together with other ING teams you come up with sustainable and integrated solutions that add value to our clients.

Your Profile

• University degree, ideally master’s in finance, business administration and / or engineering
• Several years of working experience preferably in a client-facing banking environment, prior familiarity with (parts of) the Metals, Mining & Fertilizers industry is a plus
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Outstanding analytical skills with a strong focus on quality
• Goal-orientated, proactive business mindset
• Focus on sustainable business activities and responsible decision-making
• Business fluent in English, written and spoken; German is a plus
