General information:

As a Transaction Services (TS) Sales professional, you are responsible for growing the daily banking business and increasing profitability through origination of new mandates within your Wholesale Banking (WB) client portfolio. The TS Sales professional offers the full suite of daily banking solutions, both in the areas of Cash and Trade, across the global network, including Payments & Cash Management, Liquidity Management, Supply Chain Finance, Receivable Finance, Bank guarantees, L/Cs, etc. ING is looking for a person with energy and the willingness to deliver to our clients. Your success will be underpinned by understanding our daily banking products & solutions and/or corporate treasury operations in general, owning and managing deals from origination until signing of the mandate. 

Your responsibilities

  • you will be responsible for generating new deals with existing clients, as well as with new clients with the focus on (but not only) products such as: cash pool, liquidity support
  • you will manage end-to-end the pre-lead, pitching and proposal process effectively and efficiently in combination with your colleagues in the deal team across various departments and countries
  • you will negotiate our solutions and pricing agreements with clients by carefully and transparently balancing client expectations, cost of sales and cost of service, within the Risk appetite of ING
  • you will be responsible for improving and maximizing the cross-buy of TS solutions
  • you are a trusted advisor to your (prospect) clients and work closely with key (internal) stakeholders including relationship bankers, TS peers across the network, Client Services and Product management colleagues
  • you will be responsible for operating under our KYC guidelines
  • you will attend (client) events to position the ING value proposition and keep informed on key trends

Our requirements

  • you have higher education (HBO) or university education (Bachelor or Master's degree) preferably in Economics, Accounting or Finance
  • you present commercial skills and ability to excel in originating TS sales transactions
  • you posses relevant work experience in the Transaction Services or daily banking domain
  • you have an in-depth understanding of Cash and Trade solutions for complex clients or the ability to learn the solutions in order to interact with complex clients
  • you are experienced with KYC related processes  
  • you are at ease with managing time-sensitive projects with a large number of stakeholders
  • you know English language fluently (B2 level at least)
  • you are experienced in working with international companies
