ING Solutions Investment Management (ISIM) is looking for a Fund Operations Oversight Trainee to join the team from 1 January 2027 for a period of at least six months.

ISIM is a subsidiary of ING Belgium (32%) and ING Luxembourg (68%). ISIM benefits from the status of a “Super ManCo” as it has received licenses to manage both UCITS and Alternative Investment Fund (AIF).
ISIM currently oversees Investment Funds distributed by different Group-entities: ING Belgium, ING Luxembourg, ING The Netherlands, ING Germany, ING Spain and ING Italy.
ISIM is the Management Company of ING Group and is pursuing its development as a key tool for Investment Fund solutions within ING Group.
It currently has over 35 employees divided into several teams.

Please note that only students who can provide a valid internship agreement (school convention) will be considered.

Your Missions

As Fund Oversight Controller Trainee, you will contribute to the oversight and control of the delegated functions (Fund Administration and Depositary)
You will be asked to assist the team in various controls, such as:

Review and analyse the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) of the funds, including monthly reviews and exception reports from delegates.
Review the reconciliations between the fund records and the custodian records.
Monitor stale and manual prices.
Participate in monthly meetings with delegates and draft the meeting minutes.
Review the draft annual accounts and other fund reporting.
Assist in the preparation of Board meetings.
Oversee the coordination of the fund corporate life cycle (general meetings of shareholders, board circular resolutions, etc)
Verify and check the financial statements.
Perform various administrative tasks.

Given the size of the team, the Fund Controller Trainee will also provide support in various operational tasks of the ManCo whenever needed.

Knowledge and experience
•   Study in Economics / Finance
•   Good knowledge of Word and Excel
Skills
•   Flexible and eager to learn
•   Team player
•   Fluency in French and English, knowledge of other languages being considered as an asset.
