Data Management – Data Modeling Analyst

Overview:

The ING Think Forward Strategy aims to create a differentiating customer experience, enabled by simplifying and streamlining our organization, further striving for operational excellence, enhancing the performance culture within our company, and expanding our banking capabilities. The Data Management is a central component in the ING Think Forward Strategy. It has been established in the COO Domain to ensure that ING has trustable data which is fully fit for the purpose (timely, complete, accurate, adoptable, comprehensive, consistent, and appropriate), facilitated by a state-of-the-art data architecture and IT infrastructure. The Data Management is growing its team in ING Hubs Philippines Data and Analytics and within HR Global People Services is critical to ensure that ING’s Global Data Management Strategy is rolled out across HR globally in a way that both supports the HR objectives whilst also ensuring that the standardization approach globally is aligned and adopted.

The Data Modeling Chapter is responsible for unifying the ingested data from various sources, modeling business concepts, analyzing data and data-patterns, gathering, and analyzing requirements from consumers of the data.

Next to this, collaboration with other Tribes on topics related to data and data management and design thinking is a key element in the job.

The Tribe works in an Agile Way of Working, which gives great empowerment to all team members sharing a common purpose.

ING is looking to recruit a Data Management - Data Modeling Analyst within the Chapter. The team member will be responsible for the front-to-end analysis of the requirements from the various Regulatory and HR Business related Initiatives.

 Together with the other members of the Chapter, the Data Management - Data Modeling Analyst investigates the data provided from the sources, analyses, and profiles the data and aligns with the consuming side to map the information into ING’s shared data language and business terms.

If you are good at:

  • Collaborating with Business Data Owners, Data Stewards, and Stakeholders to examine and understand their data requirements.
  • Refining the data requirements and translate them to business terms and develop conceptual models.
  • Delivering agreed principles and quality criteria: ING Esperanto Business terms, Conceptual Data Models, Logical Data Models, data mappings and other documentation necessary to bring into the global data definition of the entire ING group.
  • Supporting, coaching, and training of colleagues in ING on ING Esperanto
  • Maintaining business terms and definitions, including data quality requirements and meta data
  • Support defining requirements for Data Quality, Data Lineage and Data Governance

If you are:

  • Self-starter with a good ability to work in a global team across various locations.
  • Consulting mindset including an ability to think about Data Management in a way that is abstracted from how business functions currently operate.
  • Result oriented with an ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems.
  • Design Thinking, which enables big-picture view into details required for in-depth analyses.
  • Hands-on mentality in a data-driven setting
  • Fosters trust and sets expectation that differences are embraced within the Tribe.
  • Intermediate understanding and experience around Data Management, Data Warehousing, Data modeling technics, Data Architecture, Data Mapping, Data Profiling with Agile way of Working
  • Strong Knowledge of SQL
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A university (Bachelor’s/Master’s) degree
