DATA OPERATIONS PROFESSIONAL - SENIOR ANALYST

Data Operations is a key component in the ING Think Forward Strategy. It has been established in the COO Domain to ensure that ING has credible data which is fully fit for the purpose (timely, complete, accurate, adoptable,
comprehensive, consistent, and appropriate), facilitated by a state-of-the-art data architecture and IT infrastructure.


Reference data assists ING’s journey to become a data driven company by enabling the adoption of consistent reference
data across systems. Reference Data is a list of allowed values for other data fields, such as a list of country or industry
types. We achieve this by providing services around the Global Data Reference Management (GRDM) platform, where all employees have viewing rights and can connect to other systems via a file-interface or API, Reference data services various data, risk or tech functions globally where you will:
Onboard New Users to the platform (GRDM)
oTranslate business requirements to reference data tables, either re-using or expanding existing tables or create new reference data tables
oExplain and agree on governance of the new data, who owns it, who is allowed to modify, and do the subsequent configuration
oTrain the new users and routing them to appropriate guide documentation including live training sessions
Data and Table Updates
oIdentifying updates by checking against external (government portals, financial market references, etc) or internal sources (ING Data Owners, system of records, etc)
oPerform bulk updates to supervised tables
Monitor Incidents and Queries
oReview and manage incidents / issues raised via ticketing systems, where to find correct data, GRDM navigation and capabilities, etc
oManage incoming queries, notifications and properly escalating issues to IT / Engineering teams

KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Bachelor’s Degree or College / University graduate
2+ years of work experience in the Banking and Finance industry / Data Reference Maintenance
Basic understanding of Financial and Capital Markets
Knowledge in basic data modelling, understands concepts like primary and foreign keys for database tables

Familiar with Data Governance
Knowledge on MS Office Suite, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint and MS Word
Flexible and comfortable working in an agile environment
Communicates effectively using multiple channels (verbal and written)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver results to meet business requirements
Demonstrated ability to work independently and drives deliverables with a team
NICE TO HAVE
Knowledge of front office and back office operations, trade life cycle and client life cycle
Exposure to financial / capital market products (Securities, Equities, Foreign Exchange, Money Market,
Derivatives) and collateral management
Microsoft Excel VBA and/or tech-savvy
Certification on Lean Six Sigma
Knowledge and application of tools: PowerAutomate, PowerBI, Alteryx and various analytics/automation tools
