The department

You will work at the KYC Center of Expertise. This department is part of the Know Your Customer Center (KYC Center).

The KYC Center plays a crucial role in the implementation of the FEC/CDD policy within ING Domestic Bank Nederland. FEC/CDD stands for Financial Economic Crime/Customer Due Diligence (‘Know your Customer’) and is intended to prevent financial-economic crime from entering the financial system and thereby damaging the integrity of and confidence in the financial system.

The Quality Review (QR) department has a number of main tasks:

  • Determining and performing the target sampling for Quality Review, based on the findings from the Quality Assurance.
  • Performing First Line Monitoring. This consists of checking the quality of the processed files of the various departments and reporting on them.
  • The analysis of common problems or shortcomings.
  • Devising, expanding and/or implementing initiatives to improve quality (continuous improvement).

Your role

As a Quality Review specialist, you carry out the first-line quality checks, which consists of random sampling and thematic reviews.

First-line quality checks means that you check every month against the work instructions whether the work processes in the various departments within the KYC Center are carried out correctly. This includes processes in the field of Transaction Monitoring, CDD, sanctions lists, MOT notifications etc. You link the findings back to the analysts, QC and leads with the aim to improve and safeguard the quality of the various Circles. In addition, quality improvement sessions are organized for this purpose.

In addition, you prepare the necessary management information/periodic reports and give input for improvements in processes, work instructions and data quality. Of course, you are also involved in the (continuous) improvement of our own work.

Your work environment

You will be part of a self-organizing team consisting of 8 colleagues. These colleagues each bring a specialty to the CAM work streams or the CDD work streams but are multidisciplinary.

You work within the KYC Center with expert and ambitious colleagues. Working in a self-organizing team means that there is room for personal responsibility, autonomy, entrepreneurship and that giving (positive) feedback is stimulated.

In addition, you have:

  • HBO/WO work and thinking level;  
  • Knowledge of and affinity with the laws and regulations for KYC processes;
  • Extensive experience with the CAM and/or CDD workflows within the KYC Center;
  • Good quality scores on your files;
  • Experience with drawing up reports/management information and advising on it;
  • Experience as QC is a plus;
  • Experience with ERM and performance of quality checks is a plus;
  • Excellent oral and written expression skills, both in Dutch and English;
  • No 9:00 - 17:00 hours mentality and a positive/enthusiastic working attitude
