Head of Payments Services & Investments

He/She is responsible for the Bank's Payments, Cards and Investment area, ensuring the efficiency and correct execution of the transactions. He/She will be able to own the initiatives that contribute to the implementation of the bank's strategic plan, to drive solutions to the already identified issues and/or the ones that will be raised. He/She will be responsible to management teams, to assign proper targets, measure result as well as create and develop the culture of empowerment and operational excellence. The person will support other teams in any cross function/service, including Transformation/Tribe area on any change requests or projects concerning the area.

Key Responsabilities:

  • Define the correct organizational structure and size of the area particularly by identifying needs for processes improvements and their implementations;
  • Manage the overall operations activities for cards/investment and payments, guaranteeing the respect of the internal procedures, Regulation and market rules;
  • Manage a proficient relationship with business lines & tribes to define processes scalability opportunities as well as with compliance and risk functions for impacted topics;
  • Guarantee a culture of continuous improvement on processes impacting customer services;
  • Manage and oversight the performance of outsourcers and ING Hubs and identify opportunity for savings;
  • Contribute to the identification and share of the best practices and guidelines of the group within the teams;
  • Responsible for the engagement and culture of the area. Defines the area's training and development plan;
  • Responsible for verifying operational and / or organizational processes and supervises the implementation of any corrective actions in line with Regulations and marker rules;
  • Support risk definition and mitigants, audit and compliance review, key control tests ensuring the good governance of the area;
  • Ensure risk management within the area;

Requirements

  • University degree
  • 7+ years’ experience in a leading role within Operations in a complex and international environment.
  • Experience gained within financial industry/banks managing similar departments,
  • Deep knowledge of payment systems, Investment activities and related regulations.
  • Strong track record in operations process re-engineering, optimization and automation.
  • Strong experience in redesigning customer impact processes.
  • Strong track record in leading roles.
  • Strong track record in project implementation.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
