About the position:

The ING Americas’ communications and brand experience team is looking for a Marketing Consultant who is interested in internal communications, public relations and/or graphic design.

In this role, you will be tasked with assisting our dynamic team in creating engaging internal communications content across various topics to our regional staff; support communication strategies and develop written communication materials; as well as execute integrated communication concepts that resonate with colleagues across all business lines and levels.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide ongoing and timely support of communication and engagement initiatives set forth by the team
  • Draft communications and produce materials as needed, such as articles on employee news and briefs, sustainability initiatives, and business-related deals/wins, for our Intranet channel
  • Support internal comms-specific tasks, such as the Americas’ biweekly newsletter, anniversary emails, etc.
  • Execute against an internal communications plan to help employees feel connected to executive leadership, our strategy, and our purpose
  • Help grow our LinkedIn channel by assisting our team with content ideas and calendar planning
  • Support the team with various virtual, hybrid, and in-person events
  • Support the team with external marketing efforts where needed

Qualifications and Competencies

  • BA required (Journalism, English, Communications, or related field, preferred)
  • Superior communications skills – both written and verbal
  • Ability to balance writing, formatting, and design responsibilities to communicate concisely in a manner that is also visually pleasing
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, as well as independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to deliver a product on time, on budget and with sensitivity to the subject matter
  • Ability to apply problem solving and process improvement techniques

Hourly Range: $25 -$30/hr
