An exciting and rare role is open as ING Australia’s Business Development Manager in WA! In this role, reporting to the Sales Manager, WA, you’ll make an impact by supporting a network of mortgage brokers to help more of our customers find the best home loans available to them.

You’ll be responsible for the face-to-face account sales production and growth of your residential mortgage portfolio through a structured engagement program with accredited mortgage brokers.  You’ll own and champion your region spanning the greater WA region.

What you’ll do

  • Increase mortgage broker uptake of our residential mortgages across the allocated portfolio with a view to increase the number of accounts per active mortgage broker
  • Train and educating mortgage brokers on ING product, policy processes and procedures to maximise quality and conversion of applications
  • Represent ING at internal and external industry events
  • Analyse mortgage broker activity and performance
  • Participate in sales meetings and workshops with key broker partners
  • Liaise with the broker sales and support team relating to loan enquiries

What we’re looking for

  • Excellent credit skills to best represent third party interests balanced with the need to maintain credit quality and credibility with Risk Management
  • Experience in a face-to-face business development, sales or relationship management role with a residential home loan/mortgage focus
  • Proven customer service skills including experience working within SLAs
  • The ability to build strong working relationships at levels (internal and external)
  • Proven ability to work autonomously yet consistency meet administrative tasks and targets associated with a sales role
