In Asia Pacific, ING offers wholesale banking across 11 markets, namely Australia, China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam.

Singapore is the regional headquarters for ING's Wholesale Banking (WB) business in Asia, which includes all WB business lines such as Financial Markets, Strategic Products, Sectors, Lending and Transaction Services and other support functions.

The Asset Securitisation (ASec) team continues to expand in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region to ensure optimal service for our clients around the globe. Your Key Responsibilities

  • Actively originate, structure and execute Asset Backed Securities (ABS and Residential Mortgage Backed Securities (RMBS) programmes in which ASec has a leading role, such as balance sheet funded deals and public capital markets securitisation transactions

  • Support Bond Syndicate with the issuance of public capital markets securitisation transactions

  • As ASec is ING’s securitisation “centre of excellence”, continuously be at the vanguard of relevant market developments such as the exploration of new asset classes

  • Own and maintain a strong network of issuers and investors active in (structured) financial asset products

  • Monitor developments in Asia Pacific and European securitisation capital markets, with a constant finger on the pulse of developments, appetite and trends to timely advise clients (including ING), of opportunities and activities

  • Serve as the go to team for ING’s own securitisation needs, acting as advisor to Wholesale Banking management team, Group Treasury and ING Retail entities

  • In addition to securitisation, your role will also see you assisting with the active management of ING’s balance sheet through other methods, including but not limited to whole loan sales, block trades, future flow partnerships and fund structures

  • Act as first line of defence for credit and market risk in matters concerning ASec’s asset portfolio of ABS/RMBS/Covered Loans/Warehouses/Swaps

Your Profile

  • Presently undertaking an Undergraduate degree, preferably in mathematics, (business) economics or econometrics and ideally at least some experience in (wholesale) banking

  • Strong affinity with banking, regulations and financial products

  • Strong analytical skills, passion for minutia with a natural aptitude to be able to explain this in a broader context

  • Strong ability to manage deadlines and deliver on expectations working within a global team that covers all time zones

  • Enjoy being in a diverse team that shifts from balance sheet management, balance sheet funding, bond issuance and hedging activities multiple times per day

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and an open mind to work on new concepts

  • Strong communication skills and fluent in English, both verbal & written
