As Credit Risk Retail Analytics Manager, you’ll lead our efforts in shaping and maintaining early warning frameworks, managing policy oversight, and ensuring robust provisioning for our retail credit portfolios. You’ll engage closely with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights and keep our risk practices sharp, proactive, and compliant with frameworks like APS 220 and EBA LOM.

This position requires strong analytical acumen and expertise in credit risk policy and portfolio management within retail banking—ensuring reporting, models, and strategic narratives support sustainable credit outcomes.

What you’ll do

  • Manage Early Warning Signal (EWS) strategies, reporting, and governance to identify emerging risks across retail credit portfolios
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Risk, Finance, and Collections to deliver insights and ensure data integrity in monthly reporting cycles
  • Oversee credit risk policy compliance, focusing on APS 220, EBA LOM, and regulatory waiver performance
  • Craft compelling credit strategy reports and present to EXCO, Credit Risk Committee, and other governance forums
  • Drive the loan loss provisioning process and represent ING Australia in global collective provision forums
  • Identify opportunities to improve portfolio health and credit controls through analytical reviews and business engagement

What we’re looking for

  • 3–5 years of experience in credit risk or portfolio analytics within banking or broader financial services
  • A numerate background in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar discipline
  • Strong experience working with SAS, Excel, or other analytical tools like Python or R
  • Understanding of retail lending environments, provisioning frameworks, and risk controls
  • Excellent communication skills—you can explain data trends, draft high-quality memos, and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience with collections strategies, account management, or regulatory interpretation is a bonus
