This high-profile, strategic initiative is set to redefine ING’s data capabilities, and we need a Project Delivery Lead with expertise, vision, and leadership to make it happen.

What you’ll do …

  • Build and lead a team of data engineers, modelers, testers, and business analysts, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance management.
  • Lead the development and optimization of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data storage solutions using Azure services.
  • Oversee the integration of diverse data sources, including structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, into the data platform.
  • Drive the adoption of big data technologies and cloud-native architectures to enhance data processing capabilities.
  • Serve as the go-to expert on Azure data services, providing deep technical guidance and support to the team. Stay updated with the latest Azure features and industry trends, incorporating new advancements into the platform as appropriate.
  • Lead efforts to troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent data platform issues, implementing proactive monitoring and alerting strategies.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment on project goals.

What we’re looking for…

  • Strong understanding of Azure data services, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Factory. Nice to have: Informatica, SAP BO, Tableau, SQL Server Database, Power BI.
  • 10+ years of technical experience managing data platforms, with a strong emphasis on both on-premises and Azure environments. Proven experience in data architecture, data warehousing, data modelling and data integration.
  • Expertise in SQL, database management, ETL tools and performance tuning.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., healthcare, finance).
  • Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
  • Certifications in relevant cloud technologies, Azure certification preferred.
  • Leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams, foster collaboration, and drive results.
