Apply now

At ING Australia, you’ll have the chance to build a career as unique as you are, with the global scale, inclusive culture, and technology to become the best version of you. And we are counting on your unique voice and perspective to help ING Australia become even better. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself and you’ll be making a difference to our customer’s lives by shaping the way they bank and empowering them to stay a step ahead in life and business.

We’re on a hunt for an experienced Channel Value Proposition Expert to join our Business Banking team to support the design and execution of our Business Banking sales and service model.

Business Banking is a key pillar to ING’s overall strategy, established as a 3rd segment between Private Individuals and Wholesale Banking. Our segment covers three types of customers: Self-employed & Micro companies, SMEs, and Mid-Corporates. Our customers are focused on managing and growing their businesses profitably in an ever-changing and increasingly complex environment. Our goal is to support them through relevant, seamless, trusted and personal financial solutions in key moments.

You are responsible to lead the creation of a coherent channel strategy by continuously optimizing the experience for our customers while improving channel effectiveness. Delivering the same unparalleled customer experience irrespective of the channel that is easy, smart, and personal.

This is a unique opportunity to build something from the ground up—crafting seamless, data-driven customer experiences across digital, remote, and relationship channels.

Our ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and are passionate about delivering smart, personal, and effective banking solutions.

What you’ll do

  • Design and Deliver Channel Strategy: Support the creation and implementation of a differentiated omnichannel sales and service model tailored to Business Banking customer segments.
  • Develop Targeted Propositions: Build and execute strategies for specific customer groups and partners and cross-sell initiatives.
  • Enhance Customer Journeys: Collaborate with delivery teams to digitalise key customer journeys, optimise processes, and improve account lifecycle servicing.
  • Drive Strategic Insights: Conduct market and customer research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, using insights to inform strategic direction and product development.
  • Build Internal and External Networks: Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and with external partners to expand ING’s reach and influence.
  • Champion Customer Experience: Monitor feedback and key moments of truth to continuously improve the customer experience and ensure high satisfaction across all channels.

What we’re looking for

  • Strategic Thinker with Execution Power: Proven ability to design and implement channel strategies that align with business goals, balancing long-term vision with practical execution.
  • Business Banking Expertise: Deep understanding of the Business Banking segment, including customer needs, product offerings, and sales & service models, with 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Customer-Centric and Data-Driven: Excellent analytical mindset with a passion for improving customer experience through insights, feedback, and digital innovation.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Experience leading initiatives across diverse teams and stakeholders, including marketing, product, IT, and external partners like brokers and advisors.
  • Exceptional Communication and Influence Skills: Ability to clearly articulate strategy, influence senior stakeholders, and drive alignment in a complex, multi-geography environment.
  • Proactive and Results-Oriented: A self-starter who takes ownership, drives change, and delivers measurable business and customer outcomes.
