As the Senior Manager, Non-Financial Risk for Business Banking, you will be responsible for 2nd Line Risk oversight and challenge across our rapidly growing business banking division. You will be responsible for developing and managing the NFR framework and associated policies and procedures and advising on the implementation within the business.

It’s a critical role partnering with the business bank as they launch new products and implement new processes and systems. You will be a key person in ensuring the business bank manages its risk appropriately during this high growth period.

The role requires a solid knowledge of business banking products and process, a broad range of risk expertise to cover all relevant non-financial risk to support, guide and challenge the Business Banking unit, relevant support functions and may extend its support to the Wholesale Banking business line.

What you’ll do

  • Provide expert advice and challenge on the implementation of the Non-financial Risk Management framework, and associated policies, procedures and control standards
  • Assist the Lead of BMA and Head of NFR in the overall and ongoing development, embedding and management of non-financial risk management and its associated frameworks across the business bank
  • Build effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure buy-in, including EXCO, Risk Leadership team, Business Banking, Support functions and ING Group global functional team
  • Proactive and continuous monitoring of the operational risk framework implementation and embedment
  • Conduct training and knowledge sharing across teams on various risk topics

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in Risk management or Financial Services, within the 3 lines of defence
  • At least 8 years’ experience in Risk, Compliance and/or Audit background with focus on Technology
  • Previous experience and strong knowledge of business banking products or supporting business banking from a risk perspective (either 1LOD or 2LOD)
  • Strong and broad understanding of NFR risks including the frameworks and in practice.
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory compliance and prudential compliance requirements of an ADI including APS 114, 115, CPS 230, 231, 232 and SOX
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
