Background

Transaction Services (“TS”) looks after the cash management and trade finance needs of customers across the ING franchise. This product line has been identified as key to the future growth of the ING Wholesale banking business.


ING is looking to expand its Transaction Services business in Asia. TS provides a challenging professional environment within ING Wholesale Banking, in a growing business serving corporate clients in an international environment. Key Roles & Responsibilities
  • Originate new TS business opportunities for corporate clients from ING with a focus on Working Capital Solutions (WCS) in Asia/Europe; Trade Finance in Europe; and Cash Management in Europe
  • Support Asia WCS team in drafting of legal documentation considering local requirements – receivables purchase agreements, risk participation agreements, payment service agreements, etc.
  • Maintain active contacts with stakeholders, such as TS Product Tribe (product management), Relationship Managers and Risk Management.
  • Oversee/ conduct transaction due diligence / reviews to ensure information provided is in line with the bank’s understanding
  • Oversee transactions booked locally, escalating in a timely manner and obtaining approvals for deviations as necessary

Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong sales skills and track record of success in selling transaction banking solutions to Japanese Corporates esp. from a foreign bank perspective.
  • Entrepreneurial and the ability to grow a business
  • Good ability to network and work with colleagues from different geographies
  • Result and deal driven
  • At least 15 years of relevant Transaction banking experience with a focus on working capital solutions
  • Thorough understanding of credit risk and deal structuring
  • Good understanding of financial statements and ability to analyse product risk
  • Self-directed and high motivated with the ability to value add to the team
  • Positive working attitude with strong awareness to deliver within expected timelines.
