ING in Asia Pacific

In Asia Pacific, ING offers wholesale banking across 11 markets, namely Australia, China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam.

ING offers both retail and wholesale banking services in Australia. ING’s regional presence includes a 13% stake in Bank of Beijing, China and a 30% stake in TMBThanachart Bank in Thailand.

Singapore is the regional headquarters for ING's Wholesale Banking (WB) business in Asia, which includes all WB business lines such as Financial Markets, Strategic Products, Sectors, Lending and Transaction Services and other support functions.

What does the Compliance Team do in ING?

We cover the regulatory framework to provide advice regarding the regulations and ING policies. We support the business to manage compliance risks such as regulations and money laundering.

What would you be doing?

You will be assisting the compliance team in daily activities and ad hoc projects. You will also be learning about Hong Kong banking regulations and financial crime.

What qualities, skills and other criteria are we looking for?

We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria: 

  • You should have legal work rights in Hong Kong.

  • You should be analytical with a critical thinking mindset and willing to learn new concepts.

  • You should have good English and Chinese skills, both written and spoken.

  • You should have good academic results with a cumulative GPA of 3.3/4.0 or 3.5/4.3.

What would you gain from this internship?

The internship will provide an introduction to the compliance field including acquiring knowledge and experience relating to banking regulations and financial crime.

This is a 6 Months internship program to start from July 2025
