About the position:

In this position, you will be joining the Financial Markets Product Control team, which is responsible for the P&L reporting of ING’s FM products, ensuring accurate financial results, strong controls, and timely analysis. It collaborates closely with global and local stakeholders, contributes to regulatory reporting and projects, and provides cross‑product coverage within the team.

About the department:

The FM Product Control team is a central part of ING’s Finance Department, with primary responsibility for reporting the Profit & Losses of all financial markets trading books. It is independent of the revenue generating divisions and reports to the firm’s Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Measure, monitor, analyze and report P&L of the FM trading books daily.
  • Prepare P&L related market commentary as required by internal policies.
  • Provide accurate and timely daily inputs into the consolidated PL reporting tools.
  • Prepare general ledger monthly accounting entries to align PL and balance sheet as required.
  • Ensure that the established controls are followed to present complete and accurate monitoring and reporting of P&L.
  • Perform monthly price testing procedures.
  • Where applicable, analyze and record monthly valuation adjustments as it relates to price uncertainty.
  • Perform key control checks as it relates to the monthly control framework to support the internal/external audits and SOX control reporting.
  • Prepare product-specific monthly PL results included in the local parameter review meeting chaired by the finance department.
  • Manage relationships with all relevant stakeholders through collaboration and open communication.
  • Participate and contribute to all relevant special projects and initiatives.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to the global team stand-up calls and provide global team support when required.
  • Provide support for local and global regulatory reporting deliverables.
  • Cross train in other related products to provide daily and monthly coverage for other team members as necessary.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or other relevant field of study.
  • 3-5+ years of relevant working experience in Financial Markets products; equity, bonds, derivatives.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills and solid understanding of financial analysis/econometrics.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and control.
  • Proactive towards change improvement and team concept oriented.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and VBA.
  • Basic knowledge in database tools including Access, SQL, and other programming languages including SAS and Python a plus.

Salary Range: $105,000-140,000
