Are you up for a challenge?

Then help us activate and grow the user adoption of the digital workplace at ING! The ambition and purpose of Global Workplace Services at ING is to help ING colleagues use the continuously changing digital workplace to the max by giving tips how to work smarter and optimise collaboration. We feed them with knowledge through training, events, and continuous sharing on the online community. We also have an ambassador community dedicated to support their direct colleagues in their journey to get the most out of their digital workplace.

The team

Who are we? We are Global Workplace Services: the department that is responsible for the delivery of IT-related workplace products and services to ING colleagues worldwide. Think laptops, software like Microsoft 365 tooling, Wi-Fi, telephones, and of course the support for all of these.

Role and responsibilities

We are looking for a communication and online community enthusiast who loves to provide continuous support and inspiration on the online community and who is creative in trying out new ways to help activate and involve our employees and ambassadors. Are you that proactive intern who wants to learn the ropes in a diverse and dynamic setting?

If so, you will be part of our employee experience guild for at least five to six months, starting preferably in January of February 2026. You will be supporting us with creating communication towards employees and ambassadors about new initiatives, updates and learning opportunities.

You will also be in charge of maintaining and activating the online ambassador community by: sharing knowledge and tips which will be provided to you; helping with organising the monthly global ambassador update and knowledge sessions and maybe even a local or global online event. There will be lots of space to try out new ideas and grow this community both in enthusiasm and numbers. Workplace Services is a uniquely pivotal ING department where no day is the same.

What you’ll be doing

  • Create weekly news items for the SharePoint HUB site in various formats: text, video, or images.
  • Help develop user-friendly emails, instructions, videos, and knowledge articles for new tools and services.
  • Stimulate colleagues to engage with the community on Viva Engage and propose ideas to increase community involvement.
  • Consistently deliver accessible, visually appealing work in line with brand guidelines.
  • Contribute ideas for using modern communication channels to improve end-user engagement and communications.
  • Maintain and activate the online ambassador community by sharing knowledge and tips, organising monthly updates, knowledge sessions, and events as needed.
  • Monitor and support the ambassador community, assisting with questions and collecting answers for members.
  • Develop initiatives to keep ambassadors involved and enthusiastic, helping them share experiences within the group.
  • Perform ongoing weekly tasks for the ambassador programme, such as onboarding new ambassadors, providing access to platforms, and sending welcome emails.
  • Help with the organisation of an online or offline event for ambassadors and colleagues to share knowledge and experiences.
  • Promote the ambassador programme to encourage growth in different ING countries.
