Your role & work environment

You will work in the dealing room of ING in Brussels, as part of the Equity Derivatives / Strategic Equity Transactions team, a highly specialized team within Financial Markets. You will work with different teams internally, assist on pricing and trading flow transactions, participate in the preparation of pitches and contribute to various strategic projects.

Strategic Equity Solutions is a global team (with presence in dealing rooms in Brussels, Amsterdam, London, and Singapore) working together with various local Financial Markets Sales teams as well as Relationship Managers in more than 25 locations to service our clients. The Strategic Equity Solutions team is specialized in tailor-made optional and linear equity solutions for hedging equity risk, equity-based financing, stake building, yield enhancement and alternative share buyback solutions and is working with various products such as put, calls, Total Return Swaps, Forwards, Margin Loans, etc. or a combination of those.

Your key responsibilities

• Create and update PowerPoint presentations that will be used to pitch tailor-made solutions to our clients.

• Analyse the equity exposure of our clients.

• Coordinate and align input from different stakeholders into a coherent pitch.

• Actively participate in various strategic projects.

• Support in flow pricing and follow-up, updating and executing existing sales and reporting processes.

• Identify improvement areas in our processes and propose solutions.

As an Intern in Equity Derivatives / SES Group, you will also need:

• Relevant Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree and/or ongoing studies in econometrics, business economics, financial engineering or other finance/economics-related subjects.

• Interest in financial markets products (Total Return Swaps, Forwards, Margin Loan, Options in various asset classes).

• Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills, demonstrated with good grades in relevant courses.

• Strong presentation skills (creating PowerPoint pitches and presenting).

• Strong eyes for detail in all deliverables.

• A team player with good communication skills.

• Entrepreneurial and commercial drive.

• Eager to learn and share knowledge with colleagues.

• Ability to work independently on various transactions/projects at the same time, often under pressure, and to prioritize resources accordingly.

• Fluent in English, both verbally and written, Dutch/French speaking will be considered a plus.
