Mission

The core of the Tech Services Management team is to support the ING Tech management in running technology as a business, by understanding ING’s Bank technology strategy and aligning the investments in technology with an efficient use of resources while ensuring all regulatory requirements are met. The team is aimed to provide advice on making decisions and full insight on drivers for an effective and efficient use of suppliers contracting in line with the ING bank and technology strategy and supports a smooth cost performance management, while ensuring the existing governance guidelines are supported by clear processes.

About the team

This role is part of a new team currently being built, as one of the first senior members, you will play a key role in defining the team’s foundation, culture, and end‑to‑end processes. This is a high-impact role suited for a professional experienced in setting up functions from scratch, implementing structured ways of working, and building service models aligned with global standards.

Your day-to-day

As a Tech Service Level Manager you will manage strategic partnerships ensuring ownership of all involved internal parties, clear and smooth communication with the external suppliers, established and enforces clear process of managing the service received as per ING’s global guidelines.

In this role, you will:

  • You will be responsible for managing the Tech partnership contracts and governance, providing support in new services or reviewing the existing ones
  • You will perform periodic review of the vendors performance based on set SLAs, set and follow-up actions;
  • You will establish vendor strategy and sets direction for Tech Leaders
  • You will ensure that all contracts are compliant with regulatory, IT security standards and EBA requirements;
  • You will act as a single point of contact in relationship with the Tech related vendors
  • You will identify potential risks in relation with the Tech related providers and propose measures to manage these risks;
  • You will involve in services / goods receipt confirmation process, being the single point of contact between the providers and ING departments
  • You will be responsible for the cost performance of the services/contracts in scope
  • You will interact with Procurement/Operational Design Control and Resilience team on new services or reviewing the existing ones.

What you bring to the team:

  • Expertise in contract/ vendor management capabilities, with at least 3 years work experience in this area;
  • Experience working with Project Management/Cost Management
  • Strong stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and align diverse internal and external partners
  • High level of adaptability - learn continuously, with openness to new perspectives that could lead to a better result;
  • Understanding of IT operations
  • University degree or equivalent professional experience;
  • Thoroughness, synthesis and analysis capability;
  • Focus on collaboration, teamwork and customer service.
