The Data Protection Intern supports the Data Protection Executive team in ensuring compliance with applicable data protection regulations (including GDPR) and internal policies. The objective of this role is to contribute to the continuous improvement of privacy governance, support the implementation of compliance initiatives, and enhance awareness of data protection principles across the organization.

He/she contributes from a legal and regulatory perspective to the company’s data protection framework and supports the development of a robust privacy culture within a dynamic and agile environment.


This role also includes supporting key operational privacy activities, such as the management of data breaches and data subject requests, ensuring timely and compliant handling in line with regulatory requirements.

Given the international scope of the projects and interactions with global stakeholders, an excellent level of English is required.

Key Responsibilities:

· Policy:
Supports the development and maintenance of privacy policies, guidelines, and procedures. Contributes to translating regulatory requirements into practical controls and operational activities.

· Privacy Compliance & Advisory:

  • Supports the team in providing advice on data protection matters to business stakeholders.
  • Assists in the analysis of privacy-related issues and contributes to identifying compliant solutions.
  • Contributes to the implementation of privacy requirements in projects, products, and processes.

· Data Breach & Data Subject Requests:

  • Supports the management of data breaches, including initial assessment, documentation, escalation, and follow-up actions.
  • Assists in handling data subject requests (e.g., access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection), ensuring proper tracking, timely responses, and compliance with regulatory deadlines.

· Documentation & Governance:

  • Supports the drafting and updating of privacy documentation (e.g., privacy notices, records of processing activities, DPIAs, LIA, FRIA).
  • Helps maintain documentation frameworks in line with regulatory expectations.

· Risk Management, Compliance:

  • Supports the identification and assessment of data protection risks.
  • Contributes to compliance monitoring activities and internal controls.
  • Support the local training programs on data protection, assisting in raising awareness of data protection principles within the organization.

· Networks:

Collaborates with internal stakeholders (e.g., IT, HR, Business functions) and supports interaction with external advisors when required.

· Knowledge acquisition and sharing:

  • Stays informed about developments in data protection regulations and industry best practices.
  • Supports the dissemination of knowledge and lessons learned within the organization.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Law

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of data protection laws and regulations (including GDPR)
  • Understanding of key privacy processes (e.g., DPIA, data subject rights, data breach handling)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent English, both written and spoken
