We are looking for an enthusiastic professional with a background in change management and experience with financial risk topics, who would like to take on the role of change expert in the financial risk domain. The Change Expert is reporting to the Financial Risk Expert Lead and is positioned in the Global Change Experts department which is part of Global Change and Transformation.

The team

Change & Transformation is a key capability to deliver on our strategy and our external (regulatory) commitments.  You will be part of a global pool of change professionals working across multiple locations.  The main responsibility is to orchestrate and drive complex change initiatives and programmes with energy and rigour (across tribes, functions, business lines and/or countries).

Global Change Execution (‘GCE’) is responsible for driving change (delivery) and attracting and developing change experts who and advance their career within ING (capability building).

Roles and responsibilities

Within the Global Change Execution department, you will be part of the Change Execution Financial Risk team. This team focusses on delivering global, complex change within the Financial Risk domain. We play a critical role at ING and are a trusted delivery partner to all risk departments and business lines CRO’s of the Bank. Examples of programs led by the Financial Risk team are global initiatives like Basel IV reforms, Modelling & reporting of Interest Rate in Banking Books and other Market Risk, EBA Loan Origination and monitoring requirements, Economic Capital & Loan Pricing and many more initiatives across credit, market and operational risk domains.

As an initial assignment you will support key, mostly regulatory, initiatives in the Financial Risk area such as Basel IV (CRRIII), CVA (Credit Valuation Adjustment) Capital Reforms, Stress Testing as well as strategic improvements for the Financial Markets / Global Treasury towards INGs latest technology standards.

What will you do:

  • You successfully execute those assignments that contribute most to ING’s strategic priorities and (external) regulatory commitments.

  • You navigate in the complex environment of Financial Markets/ Global Treasuries Business and related application design in the Competitive Pricing Area (IPA), ensuring the implementation of complex models and securing the model output results are delivered into COO Risk to meet regulatory reporting requirements in terms of scope and quality

  • You play and active role in the global community of change experts, who share best practices and develop skills across the ING network.

  • You orchestrate change across countries, business lines and functions with focus on executional certainty, predictability, and adherence to our global standards

  • You bring transparency, manage dependencies and risks, facilitate decision making, deal with impediments, manage and engage stakeholders

  • An all-round change professional with experience in driving and delivering complex change initiatives

  • Demonstrable experience in (agile) programme management in an international context within the financial industry

  • Strong skills to drive change: planning & alignment, stakeholder management and well developed communication/ presentation skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial Markets, related Credit or Market Risk Management processes and its applicable regulations

  • High resilience, the ability to deal with ambiguity and a focus on collaboration

  • Proactive, can-do mentality; a positive mind-set and organisational sensitivity

  • Ability to coach colleagues on-the-job

  • Excellent level of English

  • Master’s degree in a topic relevant to Financial Risk as well as certifications (e.g. MSP, Agile PgM) linked to managing change programs.
