Senior Product Manager – Mobile Card Payments
It’s an interesting time to work in payments! The Payments industry is evolving quickly with many new players entering the market. As a product manager, you will work on innovations – big and small – to make the lives of our customers more frictionless. Making sure customers can pay on the move, whenever and wherever.

The team
The team works on the value proposition for mobile payments across multiple ING retail countries. Although the role primarily focuses on bringing value to our customers in The Netherlands, we always aspire to bring these innovations to other countries that offer the same products. It is up to you to figure out what works and what does not!

Roles and responsibilities

As a product manager you enjoy exploring new ideas and finding out if they will work. This will involve talking to our customers to understand their problems, analysing data about their real-world behaviour to identify pain points and working with colleagues from across the bank to figure out good solutions. Together with our developers you work out how your solutions can be realized and you will work with our compliance and legal departments to make sure your solutions fit within the existing frameworks. This makes sure our customers continue to receive reliable and compliant banking services.

We are looking for people who

  • has a background in product development; preferably in payments, banking or consumer software
  • have experience with establishing customer painpoints through qualitative and quantitative research
  • believe data is the key to better decisions and have experience with using data to identify potential in our customer journeys
  • are passionate about the future of payment solutions and preferably some experience in (Card) Payments
  • bring in an outside-in view and translates the needs of our customers to best in class services
  • play an active role in running the business, executing plans and defining & executing future roadmaps, together with the team.
  • possess solid interpersonal and collaborative skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders
  • understand risk management and work effectively with Risk, Compliance, and Legal stakeholders to ensure a safe and compliant experience for our customers
  • have a University or HBO degree
  • are fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
