Job Details

How to Succeed

  • Responsible for working with highly collaborative teams and technology vendors to support integration of technologies on the roadmap implementing robust and scalable systems emphasizing on designing and delivering as per the established standards and guidelines
  • Managing a team of approximately 10 engineers
  • Track and document the lifecycle of the platform, database and middleware infrastructure per application/technology
  • Taking the lead in self-development by staying abreast of industry trends and sharing your knowledge with your colleagues
  • Coaching and mentoring other engineers and chapter members
  • Managing security and risk guidelines and supporting system documentation related to risk requirements
  • Role model in the development of your own capability across industry trends, technologies, methodologies and behaviors
  • Define systems integrations, design patterns and development standards to support cross-functional, multi-system solutions that scale and are flexible to meet current and future needs of the organization
  • Partner with Corporate team in creating/updating standard operations procedure and reporting

Tech stack we work on:

  • Java, J2EE, Spring, Kafka, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, and full stack/polyglot development.
  • Varied testing practices such as Selenium, TDD/BDD, PACT, chaos engineering & scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash

About you

  • 8+ years in development/software engineering on web technologies and preferably working within Banking & Financial domain
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • W3C Standards and features
  • Critical attention to detail about code, efficiency, and design
  • Experience writing unit tests, TDD, BDD, familiar with tools like (e.g. Mocha, karma, Chai, Sinon)
  • Understands deeply about the modern web platform, especially web components, progressive web apps
  • Experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework (e.g. React, Angular, Vue.js, Svelte) and a solid understanding of its core principles;
  • Meet service levels for systems (availability, security, and performance)
  • Experience with Lit Element is a plus
  • Working with Azure pipelines for CI/CD.
  • Mentor & coach other developers in their learning & development
  • Be able to work alone or with others as needs dictate
  • Communication (written/verbal) to be well developed and of a professional standard
  • Good communication skills in English (C1 level)
