As Account Manager Renewable Energy, you are the ambassador and first point of contact on behalf of ING Lease for all matters relating to sustainability and renewable energy projects and ING Lease related customer portfolio,. You create visibility in the market and in the distribution channels Business Banking and Wholesale Banking within ING Belgium. You contribute to the planned growth in production and profitability, while respecting the strategy and guidelines of ING Lease. You report to the Head of Real Estate Lease and Renewable Energy.

As an Account Manager Renewable Energy at ING Lease, you will be the driving force behind your client portfolio. You will:

  • Proactively manage client relationships through prospect and client meetings, presentations, and sales pitches.
  • Analyze and evaluate customer needs, translating them into attractive ING Lease proposals.
  • Assess and value projects, prepare credit packages, and defend them in the credit committee.
  • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring smooth execution of agreements.
  • Represent ING Lease at internal and external events, including giving presentations.
  • Encourage ING Business Centers and relationship managers to promote and sell ING Lease to achieve commercial objectives.
  • Provide continuous training and development for relationship managers at ING Belgium.
  • Propose and implement new commercial initiatives together with the team.
  • Build expertise in the evolving sustainable, circular economy and specialized leasing matters: technical, tax, legal, market trends...
  • Build and develop solid and trusting relationships with customers, striving for a perfect balance between customer satisfaction, profitability, and customer risk.

As an Account Manager Renewable Energy, you will also need:

  • A master's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a sales role in a business environment.
  • A proven track record in renewable energy is an asset.
  • Strong negotiation skills at the CEO/CFO level.
  • Excellent oral and written skills in Dutch and French, and good oral and written skills in English.
