Are you eager to explore the world of corporate banking and work with leading Nordic corporates? Join our Nordic Desk as an intern and gain hands‑on experience in a dynamic, international environment. This role offers a unique chance to learn, grow, and contribute to commercial activities that span across several countries.

The opportunity

As an intern, you will support the Nordic Team in strengthening ING’s relationships with selected Nordic clients around the world. You will assist in commercial initiatives, client preparation, and project execution, giving you a broad understanding of how international corporate banking operates.

This is a 6‑month, unpaid internship starting in August/September.

About the team

The Nordic Team covers major Nordic corporates and is based in Brussels, with a representation office in Stockholm. Our mission is to maximise cooperation between ING and a select group of Nordic clients across sectors and geographies.
You will join a team of 20 professionals who value collaboration, ownership, and forward‑thinking. The team works closely with product specialists, sector experts, and international colleagues across ING’s global network.

What you’ll do

  • Support the preparation of client materials, presentations, and internal briefings
  • Assist in commercial initiatives aimed at deepening client relationships
  • Contribute to project and transaction execution across various sectors
  • Conduct market research and produce analytical summaries
  • Coordinate information flows across global ING teams
  • Participate in internal meetings and follow‑ups with the Nordic client portfolio

What you bring

  • Enrolled in the final year of a Master’s programme
  • A team‑oriented mindset with strong communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial drive and commercial curiosity
  • Eagerness to learn, share knowledge, and take initiative
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks, often under time pressure
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); knowledge of a Scandinavian language is a plus
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to challenge the status quo
