Global Securities Finance Trading Analyst (Associate)

Department Overview

• Global Securities Finance (GSF), has desks in London, Amsterdam, New York and Singapore.

• You will join an existing team of 11 traders in London.

• You will help drive the strategy and vision of the collateral desk. The desk is seeking to grow the collateral footprint across internal stakeholders and external clients.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role:
Key responsibilities:

• Trade the daily flow in Collateral, Repo, Securities Lending and Money market products for Equities and Fixed income.

• Work closely with key internal stakeholders to help develop electronic platform trading and  collateral optimisation.

• Co-ordinate and liaise with existing client franchise working closely with FM sales.

• Align with the credit risk, market risk, balance sheet and regulatory requirements, in London.

Execute key analyses

• Perform continuing portfolio optimisation of assets held bilaterally and in Tri-Party.

• Analyse potential trading opportunities and structures across various asset classes.

• Perform continuing risk analysis.

• Examine external trends and market information

• Evaluate regulatory impact and planning for changes.

Candidate Profile:
Qualification/Education

• Essential: Masters in a maths / science / quantitative field

• Desirable: CFA

Experience/Knowledge

• Strong quantitative background

• Very strong programming skills in Python

• Good understanding of Financial Markets and traded products

• Prior experience trading in Securities Finance markets advantageous
