ING Luxembourg is looking for its department KYC Center of Excellence an experienced Tax Expert, who will be working at high level standards in the KYC Organization, specifically active in the field of KYC, AML, FATCA-CRS and QI.

This role requires experience in operating in a complex, environment and profound knowledge of the regulatory landscape and the Tax and Automatic Exchange of Information domains in particular. It combines a client focused attitude with analytical skills and result oriented strategic thinking. You work in a multidisciplinary team within ING' organization. Together with your team, your mission is to design, develop and phase out regulatory related requirements, as well as to implement and improve new and existing processes, within all the business lines (Retail Banking, Private Banking and Wholesale Banking).

As a Tax Expert, you will:

  • Report to the Country KYC Centre of Excellence Lead and be the reference person when it comes to tax matters in the 1st Line of Defence in the KYC Organisation with a clear focus on FATCA-CRS and QI;
  • Have an advisory role within the 1st Line of Defence to support Front Officers and KYC analysts in their customer tax assessment and tax related customer duties;
  • Be involved in quality improvements via the implementation of periodic controls and data analysis;
  • Be involved in the delivery of regulatory reporting to the tax authorities and of tax related documentation to the clients;
  • Analyze tax related regulations and internal policies and being able to translate into working instructions, training material or local procedures;
  • Solve internal audit recommendations and roll out any tax related process improvements;
  • Have to timely deal with the tax related improvement needs and manage priorities;
  • Be a preferred point of contact from the Tax Delivery project team when it comes to new tax related project implementation;
  • Have regular interactions with various stakeholders of the Bank within the 1st Line, 2nd Line and 3rd Line of Defense.

Your profile:

Competencies / Behavior:

  • You are skilled, professionally, knowledgeable and solution oriented;
  • You are an excellent planner and organizer.

Experience:

  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferably in Economics, Finance or Tax law;
  • You have at least 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in the financial services industry, preferably within tax advisory, tax related process delivery and/or tax regulatory topics;
  • You have a strong track record of working in the area of Tax, KYC and/or AML processes, especially in Tax and Automatic Exchange of Information related processes and procedures: FATCA, CRS, DAC6, QI;
  • You have experience and knowledge of banking business processes and associated risks and/or have a professional background in a Big4 or s similar advisory firm.

Languages:

  • You are fluent in English and French;
  • Any additional languages will be considered as an asset.
