Your role and work environment:

We are looking for a Finance Budget Partner to new segments to help us in our ambition to support the Bank’s growth and diversification achieving commercial and financial targets, while ensuring that we build towards the overall strategy.

You are the key representative from the Finance department in a cross-functional team with colleagues from business, operations and IT to contribute to the launch of new segments and have an impactful partnership with all our stakeholders. This means you fully understand the financial business case of the new segments (specifically Affluents, BuBa) with special focus on the management of the expenses and capacity budget and use this to proactively propose and promote ideas to optimize resources and investments across the bank and bring our strategy into execution.

In your journey towards achieving this challenging target, you will have a global perspective and you will work on efficiency from a global point of view and from different perspectives: Culture, Governance & Way of Working, and Data Monitoring & Visibility.

In this role you are part of a small team (5 FTE) in the Management Accounting area, and besides your direct responsibilities you support your direct colleagues in their roles as Budget Partner to the new segments.

This will grant you with a dynamic environment, growth potential and the possibility to have real impact. You will receive close support and attention from your manager in the delivery of your duties and your professional development.

Your key responsibilities:

What you'll be doing as a Finance Budget Partner to new segments:

• E2E view on the new business segments (Affluents, BuBa), understanding Business case preparation, actuals performance and monitoring and forecasting
  • Participation in the analysis of the business case figures, actively participating in the meetings with all stakeholders.
  • Full control in the actual figures, understanding the external and internal income, risk costs, RWA and balance sheet developments.
  • Full control on the expenses figures and on the capacity evolution. Strong connection with the Business Tribe for sharing the information.
  • Active forecasting, anticipating business developments, in close cooperation with business representatives.
  • Ongoing development and refinement of financial models thanks to the in-depth knowledge of the business (actuals & forecast).

• Being the finance partner to business stakeholders, resulting in an active contributor to the overall strategic partnering/financial planning function in finance
  • Ad hoc analyses & research to support key strategic initiatives & pricing.
  • Share insights and challenge the existing business E2E performance.
  • Collaborate and challenge new business development proposals.

• Being able to translate analyses and business performance into concise and powerful presentations
  • Strategy papers and presentations.
  • Business Performance monitoring.
  • Local Steerco (Affluents, Buba).

• Support the team on process & controls improvement:
  • Inspire and challenge the team to continuously keep developing and gaining the required skills to be the best they can be.
  • Be the leader on process improvement and automation initiatives to free-up resources for value added analysis and tasks.
  • Take the next step in improving, implementation, automation and documentation of controls to further strengthen all key processes.

  • Ability to understand processes and identify opportunities to simplify them.
  • Committed to driving efficiency both at the bank-wide and team level.

What are we looking for?

A strong set of technical and analytical abilities:

• Master or bachelor’s degree (preferably in mathematics or engineering) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable role.
• Full proficiency in Excel (PowerQuery), SAS and SQL.
• Excellent speaking and writing skills in English is a must.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving mindset.
• Global vision. Strategic and creative thinker.
• Ability to simplify complexity.
• Early adopter to new technologies.

Buscamos una persona Finance Budget Partner para nuevos segmentos, que nos ayude en nuestra ambición de apoyar el crecimiento y la diversificación del banco, alcanzando los objetivos comerciales y financieros, mientras avanzamos hacia la estrategia global.

Serás la persona referente del área de Finanzas en un equipo transversal con compañeras y compañeros de negocio, operaciones y tecnología, contribuyendo al lanzamiento de nuevos segmentos y generando un impacto real en la colaboración con todas las personas implicadas. Esto implica que comprendas a fondo el caso financiero de los nuevos segmentos (en concreto Affluents y BuBa), con especial foco en la gestión del presupuesto de gastos y capacidad, proponiendo activamente ideas para optimizar recursos e inversiones y llevar nuestra estrategia a la acción.

Durante este camino, tendrás una visión global y trabajarás la eficiencia desde distintas perspectivas: Cultura, Gobernanza y Forma de Trabajar, así como Monitorización de Datos y Visibilidad.

Formarás parte de un equipo pequeño (5 personas) dentro del área de Contabilidad de Gestión, y además de tus responsabilidades directas, apoyarás a tus compañeras y compañeros en sus funciones como Budget Partner para los nuevos segmentos.

Tus principales responsabilidades:

Como Finance Budget Partner, te encargarás de:

• Tener una visión integral (E2E) de los nuevos segmentos de negocio (Affluents, BuBa), comprendiendo la preparación del caso de negocio, el rendimiento real, la monitorización y la previsión.
• Participar en el análisis de las cifras del caso de negocio y en reuniones con todas las personas implicadas.
• Controlar las cifras reales, comprendiendo ingresos internos y externos, costes de riesgo, RWA y evolución del balance.
• Controlar los gastos y la evolución de la capacidad, manteniendo una conexión estrecha con el equipo de negocio.
• Realizar previsiones activas, anticipando desarrollos del negocio en colaboración con las personas representantes del área comercial.
• Desarrollar y perfeccionar modelos financieros gracias al conocimiento profundo del negocio (reales y previsiones).
• Ser la persona referente de finanzas para el negocio, contribuyendo activamente a la planificación financiera estratégica.
• Realizar análisis ad hoc e investigaciones para apoyar iniciativas estratégicas clave y decisiones de pricing.
• Compartir insights y retar el rendimiento actual del negocio.
• Colaborar y cuestionar propuestas de desarrollo de negocio.
• Traducir análisis y rendimiento en presentaciones claras y potentes.
• Elaborar documentos estratégicos y presentaciones.
• Monitorizar el rendimiento del negocio.
• Participar en el Steerco local (Affluents, BuBa).

Apoyar al equipo en la mejora de procesos y controles:

• Inspirar y retar al equipo para seguir desarrollándose y adquirir las habilidades necesarias.
• Liderar iniciativas de mejora de procesos y automatización para liberar recursos y enfocarse en tareas de valor añadido.
• Mejorar, implementar, automatizar y documentar controles para fortalecer los procesos clave.
• Alimentar tu curiosidad con investigación y seguimiento de la competencia.
• Comprender procesos e identificar oportunidades de simplificación.
• Impulsar la eficiencia a nivel banco y equipo.
• Optimizar procesos en la gestión de actividades recurrentes del equipo.

¿Qué buscamos?

Un perfil con fuertes habilidades técnicas y analíticas:

• Titulación universitaria (preferiblemente en matemáticas o ingeniería) y al menos 5 años de experiencia en un rol similar.
• Dominio avanzado de Excel (PowerQuery), SAS y SQL.
• Nivel alto de inglés hablado y escrito.
• Capacidad analítica y mentalidad resolutiva.
• Visión global, pensamiento estratégico y creativo.
• Capacidad para simplificar la complejidad.
• Interés por adoptar nuevas tecnologías.
