Your role and work environment:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Senior Dev Engineer to join our Global Market Database (GMDB) Team of FMGT Tribe/ Competitive Services Global area.

The responsibility of this team is to snap, enrich, store and distribute validated market data (now, GMDB delivers market data to more than 75 applications throughout the bank) and our way of working is hybrid.

We operate according to a Biz-Dev Ops development process and strongly believe in the Agile approach delivering IT solutions. The focus is on high-quality mission-critical target-oriented development with regular milestones.

Feature delivery is driven by the priorities determined by the Business and Product Owners, working on a day-to-day basis with the IT organization.

Your key responsibilities:

As a development engineer you will work within the GMDB dev team and will be an asset to the team. Your focus will be on building / enhancing Java based Rest application, that is used to request / update raw market data

The main challenges always addressed by our Dev are:

· consider the outcome of prioritization processes and related dependencies

· coordination with other squads within ING, cross-domain

· coordination with external data vendors

· perform meaningful testing for several relevant goals

· aim at improving time-to-market and added business value

· implement new changes

· deliver smart

· IT risk compliant

Required Skills

· Proficient with Unix tools and Unix Shell scripting

· Proficient with vendor timeseries database from Gresham (Asset Control)

· Very good knowledge of RHEL

· Very good knowledge of Java and/or Javascript and/or Python

· Experience in building APIs (Rest services) using Java, Spring boot and/or NodeJS

· Experienced in writing well designed, testable, efficient code

· Unit testing, integration testing experience, TDD/BDD

· Knowledge of XSLT, Python, C, RDBMS, and SQL is recommended

· Good knowledge of Maven, Git, CI / CD tools (Azure DevOps would be a plus)

· Familiarity with code quality tools

· Familiarity with Agile Methodologies

· Good to have - API performance testing experience

· Good analytical and problem-solving skills

· Ability to work independently and together with your own squad

· Being capable to efficiently align with other internal parties or external customers

· Sufficient organizational and administrational skills to be able to address and prioritize IT risk controls

· Good communication skills in English, written as well as verbal
