The COO Academy FCFP Trainer conducts effective and interactive new joiners', role-based and up-skilling (technical) training. Trainers work closely with Content Developers, SMEs, practitioners and business leads to deliver the learning path, enabling FCFP teams to enhance knowledge and develop skills in the fight against financial crime. Trainers provide feedback on training materials (virtual instructor-led training, e-learning etc) and ensure timely feedback to participants based on their performance in training. Occasionally trainers also develop content.

Through the execution of global FCFP strategy, you will train ING’s Retail Banking and Wholesale Banking Customer Due Diligence (CDD)/Transaction Monitoring (TM)/Screening community to become competent members of the team, who are capable and qualified to undertake their role. For this position, a candidate with extensive knowledge of Retail Banking CDD processes is preferred to support the organization’s learning needs in this area. Familiarity with TM and Screening processes is also highly valued

You will spend on average approximately 60% to 80% of your time delivering global and local training programs to groups of analysts and (super) circle leads at ING Hubs PH and globally. Rest of the time is spent on preparation of training and content development with colleagues from the global or local COO Academy, collaborating with SME’s and operational teams, providing input and feedback related to training delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learning delivery and facilitation (instructor-led or virtual instructor-led training) on financial crime topics CDD/TM/Screening.
  • Knowledge transfer to trainers (train-the-trainer).
  • Coordination and management of business stakeholders and COOA colleagues.
  • Guidance and coaching of trainees.
  • Proper alignment, usage and execution of templates and guidance/process documents within the COO Academy.
  • Take part and support in learning needs analysis.
  • Keep abreast of trends related to learning and their area of expertise.
  • Participate in area specific projects and initiatives.
  • Contribute to content creation and facilitation guide by working closely with Content Developers.
  • Report generation.
  • Contribute to cross-area COO Academy projects.
  • Drive ING brand values, messaging and philosophy through all training delivery and development activities.
  • Keep abreast of trainer/training trends, best practices, innovations and development in efforts to combat Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF).

Key Capabilities/Experience

  • Degree in related field and/or relevant (financial services) qualification.
  • Proven track record in training delivery within financial services.
  • Ability to translate complex information into simple/understandable learning delivery.
  • Exceptional people developer. Ability to relate to staff at all levels. Coaching experience would be an advantage.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, the trainer community and FCFP stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and importantly to be able to deliver effective training in English.
  • Team player and capable networker
  • Critical and creative thinker with innovative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work across multiple time zones
