COOF Finance Circle Lead (AVP/VP)

Overview:

As a Circle Lead, you will be responsible to lead and manage teams across locations that supports global ING Business Partners for a wide range of financial accounting and reporting services which includes but is not limited to daily reconciliations, manual journals, break resolutions, month-end closing activities, monitoring suspense accounts, maintaining static data, and proper documentation in compliance to ING’s standards. You will also be part of a Management Team responsible for setting strategic priorities of COO Finance and influence the organization of the future.

You will help to continuously upscale the team, ensure good working knowledge and expertise within the department to be able to offer our customers world-class services and contribute to building a more efficient organization.

If you are good at:

  • Developing high – performing teams and empowering teams to act autonomously and hold them accountable
  • Has strong communication skills and (international) stakeholder management skills
  • Has relevant leadership experience; proven track record in continuous improvement and change management including achieving more efficiencies and onboarding of new work using the current capacity.
  • Has the ability to display flexibility to teams and adapt plan, approach and behavior to the different needs, cultures, and situations
  • Experience with steering on quality output
  • Can manage multiple business partners globally
  • Result-driven, used to work with tight deadlines and able to push things forward in a persistent way
  • Well organized, proactive, and hands-on to deliver high quality output and services
  • Analytical, autonomous, adaptive, and flexible to turn problems into workable solutions.
  • Has proven verbal and written communication skills in English

If you have:

  • Proven track record in managing Finance Operations for at least 3-5 years
  • Experience in a complex and dynamic Banking and Service Delivery environment with relevant experience in Financial Accounting and Financial reporting
  • Knowledge in banking products and financial instruments.
  • Knowledge of IFRS-EU and are preferably a Certified Public Accountant
  • Capability to manage a team of 20+ people.
  • Agility, flexibility and openness to learn and be trained to challenge peers and Management

  • Ensure that your Circle is doing the right Service Delivery i.e. are competent and capable and focus on the right priorities in order to achieve their goals
  • Take a leadership role, moving strategic priorities to executable plans and action
  • Facilitate, support and motivate your employees in COO Finance
  • Create high–performing teams and remove impediments; stimulates interaction between people within and outside your domain
  • Be accountable for executing risk & control compliance and mitigation of business and operational risks; ensures regulatory compliance across your entire Circle
  • Responsible for Continuous Improvement of processes, services and administration within your Circle with the goal of limiting internal hand-overs
  • Accountable for developing the expertise of the department as a whole and the personal development of the individual members
  • Act as a role model while safeguarding our ING values
  • Effectively facilitate the transition of COO Finance to the One Way of Working
