Job Overview

We are looking for a Finance Business Partner (AVP) – Retail Banking & Technology (RBT) and Global Controller - Cost Allocation and Modelling, to join COO Finance – Finance Advisory, based in Makati, Philippines. This role is functionally part of Global Finance, a team dedicated to supporting the Global CTO organization with strategic financial insights and advice. Our mission is to enable robust decision-making that drives ING’s ambition to become a leading digital bank.

The CTO organization plays a critical role in delivering ING’s strategy to build a leading digital bank. With approximately 15% of ING’s cost base in Technology and Operations, your contribution will have a significant impact on shaping the future of our digital capabilities.

As part of a small, high-performing CTO Finance team, you will gain exposure to senior leaders within CTO and work on initiatives that drive smarter, more efficient ways of working—allowing us to focus on what matters most: providing actionable insights and strategic advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sparring partner for senior management in strategic and tactical decision making
  • Provide reports and analysis in a timely manner to support management decisions
  • Design and delivery of COO Finance and CTO Finance (non-)financials through Quarterly Performance Reviews, bi-annual Strategic Dialogues, Dynamic Planning, and Monthly Analysis
  • Advise on all matters concerning operational efficiency, cost modelling, allocation, financial planning and control
  • Follow cost trends and adjust Rolling Forecast periodically
  • Perform run-rate analysis, advise on cost efficiency opportunities and prepare business cases for Change programs
  • Reporting and analysis (vs. Plan) of Actual spend using standard dashboards and other tools
  • Full control of costs (P&L) and FTEs, including the review & approval of requisitions, cost charging and analytical review
  • Maintain effective management of MA data-sources and monitor implementation of org. structure changes (i.e. Info Memos, RFAs)
  • Strong collaboration with finance colleagues, and non-finance stakeholders to ensure greater transparency, consistency, and insight

Key Capabilities/Experience & Minimum Qualifications

Furthermore, you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field, Experience in banking, particularly Wholesale Banking, is a plus
  • 5-8 years of experience in FP&A, finance advisory, or business controlling roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, DAX, SQL, Power Query, and Advanced Excel.
  • Familiarity with SmartView, Hyperion, Essbase, or TM1 is a plus.
  • Strong Communication Skills - Proven ability to build reports from scratch and communicate insights effectively.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Ability to create clear and compelling PowerPoint presentations to communicate financial insights.
  • Strong learning agility and a proactive, self-starting approach to problem-solving.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and driving efficiency through automation.
  • Open to candidates from other industries with strong technical and analytical capabilities.
