ING is looking for an enthusiastic, analytical and experienced consulting professional, willing to work in a global, dynamic and complex environment.

Key responsibilities:

As Organisational Effectiveness Consultant you:

  • Work assignment-based for senior business owners based on thorough intakes. Focus on result-based delivery to positively impacting organisational effectiveness (e.g., more productivity, higher quality, faster delivery and/or better strategic decisions).
  • Focus on operating model assignments (e.g., blueprint target organisation and governance, team taxonomy, composition & roles, how to best organise for flow in value chains) or delivery performance assignments (e.g., impact assessments, advice on performance-based steering)
  • Support capability hub maturity
  • Own, develop and improve reference models, frameworks, tools and document templates related to operating model (design to implement)
  • Deliver advice to support decision making and enable execution – highlighting the qualitative and quantitative impact of different scenarios
  • Work closely together with the colleagues from other expert teams to ensure delivery on commitments
  • Bring an outside-in perspective on development of craftsmanship and methodology and stay up to date with key trends and developments relevant to our industry
  • Strengthen the “way of working” for delivery while safeguarding the Orange Code as a role model

What we are looking for:

You have excellent problem-solving skills, are analytical and able to bring structure to complex business issues; you know how to achieve goals in a large complex organisation; you build and maintain relationships with your senior stakeholders; you act strategically.

Specific skills sought include:

  • Ability to act autonomously, think and act out of the box and take accountability
  • Lean, analytics, operating model skills and affinity with the IT delivery flow who advice and guides leadership to improve organisational effectiveness with the aim to accelerate delivery
  • Ability to structure problems and take action to solve them; Ability to think and act out of the box and have the courage to question, challenge and make decisions
  • Ability to synthesize clear takeaways from complex information into clear takeaways and recommendations, using both qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Strong organisational sensitivity: deep understanding of the underlying issues, opportunities and dynamics of the organisation
  • High resilience, ability to deal with ambiguity and manage complexity
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and build trust with a wide range of senior stakeholders across the organisation
  • Strong and persuasive communication
