ING Bank covers Wholesale and Retail Banking in Asia Pacific. Our Wholesale Banking business is present and active in 11 major economies in the Asia Pacific, namely China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam.

Overview

Relationship Manager (“RM”) is responsible for client coverage and business development for Korean corporates and generates revenue onshore Korea as well globally with multiple products to drive business development initiatives and eventually maximize revenue. 

Responsibilities

As an RM, your tasks and responsibilities will principally be:

  • Enhance current relationship and increase penetration through close contact with clients in order to obtain more understanding & insight of clients’ needs and eventually maximize cross-selling opportunities
  • Work with counterparts in other countries and with ING’s sector and product experts when and where appropriate to ensure timely dissemination of information and to maximize cross-selling opportunities
  • Do market research to help identifying emerging trends & transaction and capturing potential business opportunities
  • Prepare the relevant client documentation and input the data into ING software and database in order to effectively bring new business initiatives in cooperation with ING counterparts in other countries/sector/products experts
  • Collaborating effectively across products, teams and industry experts to identify and exploit opportunities to cross-sell within the company
  • Set up the business strategies to achieve sustainable revenue growth at CSC Korea
  • Familiarity with all relevant ING software
  • Adheres to compliance policies
  • Ensures that business activities are conducted in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.

Person Specifications

To be considered for this role, the applicant would ideally possess the following pre-requisites:

  • Ideally a bachelor’s degree or MBA in finance, economics or business administration;
  • Strong ability to manage client relationship with more than 7 years working experience as relationship manager or product banker in an international financial institution;
  • Good knowledge on banking products;
  • High level of sense to see the market and industry trends;
  • High level of self-motivation and result-oriented approach;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in working with/for local and global clients;
  • Fluent in English and Korean, both verbally and written;  and
  • Display an eagerness to learn and strive for excellence.
