Job Profile Summary

The selected candidate will join our global family as part of the leading Trade and Commodity Finance (TCF) franchise in Amsterdam, Houston, New York, Geneva, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore. The role will be based in Singapore and report to Head of Commodities Merchant Clients, APAC.

We are looking for a Director/Vice President who will be responsible for managing the relationship of existing clients and originating new clients for the Southeast Asia region.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be self-motivated, entrepreneurial with a high degree of commercial drive with a “take it on and make it happen” mindset.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Origination of new clients and management of existing TCF clients for the Southeast Asia region.
  • Responsible for setting account strategy, driving business, meeting financial targets and managing risks.
  • Collaborate with product partners (Financial Market, Capital Markets and Advisory, Transaction Services, Sustainable Finance Structure), account managers in other regions and other internal stakeholders (Risk, Legal, Compliance, Operations) to deliver the full suite ING products and services to clients.
  • Manage end-to-end credit approval process, deal execution and portfolio monitoring.

What we're looking for:

  • 10+ years of working experience in the financial services sector.
  • In depth knowledge and experience in the commodity financing industry; prior experience of managing Southeast Asia based commodity traders will be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Resourceful and willingness to collaborate with clients / stakeholders for solutions.
  • Positive attitude with a “can-do” mindset in dealing with challenging situations.
