Job Profile Summary

The FB&A Sector Lead (MD/ Director level) is a critical role to maintain and grow the FB&A APAC business. The Sector Lead will work closely with the FB&A Team Lead in Australia and be involved in the origination of FB&A financing transactions (lending, Financial Markets, M&A etc) in the APAC region. Frequent contact to be maintained with other FB&A teams globally, and various internal support functions (a.o. Credit Risk, Legal, Lending operations, etc) as well with Parent Account Managers, Syndications, Financial Markets etc.

  • Direct the development of ING’s FB&A client strategy in APAC.
  • Establish effective relationships with key decision makers and act as a senior point of contact with FB&A clients. 
  • Develop a deep understanding of companies’ financial needs, strategies, ESR considerations and communicate this back to companies and within ING.
  • Will have credibility in the discussions taking place in the boardroom of clients
  • Execute financial solutions for clients by collaborating with other FB&A team members, product teams and relevant ING departments.
  • Establishing and strengthening ING’s market presence and enhancing its profile through effective internal and external communication.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with a portfolio of clients in the FB&A sector active in the APAC region;
  • Responsible for origination and structuring, and overseeing the execution of new FB&A transactions across the full spectrum of the food chain;
  • Client coverage in collaboration with other ING product teams (e.g. Financial Markets, DCM, Capital Markets & Advisory, Corporate Finance) to maximize client cross-sell opportunities and total client return, including supporting strategy discussions with existing and new clients to position ING for lead mandates;
  • You distinguish yourself by taking a value chain approach and understand the dynamics and trends in that specific chain. In collaboration with your global F&A colleagues you develop a strong view on industry developments and you have the ability to back this view by making use of continuous research and insights that you will share on a structural basis with relevant stakeholders;
  • Contribute to credit, industry & market analysis and be a senior ING representative during industry events.
