About the position:

Within our Super Circle Operational Controls, teams of experts are responsible for ensuring ING is in control of our products, services, and day to day operations.


Our ING Hubs Slovakia organization is becoming the expertise center for our first line of defence for area of Non-Financial risk. We are searching for an enthusiastic lead for our team of experts to set the standards for their expertise area and take responsibility for developing, innovating and safeguarding knowledge in the NFR field. You will act in the field of business risk and control function to ensure that ING's activities and the integrity of products, services and employees are in line with the regulatory requirements and run smoothly in such a way that it can be demonstrated to the regulators and the outside world. 

As part of your job, you are expected to create and maintain a structural and positive relationships with your stakeholders in Global Financial Crime and Fraud Prevention (GFCFP) organization in the headquarters (NL), the business (country KYC and ODCR leads), 2nd line of defence (risk functions) and more. 

You will possess adequate knowledge of the business (organizational, process, people) and the corresponding value chain and you are up to date with business developments with NFR impact.

As an Expert lead, you are also an Expert in the field and responsible to develop the craftsmanship of your team and take part in day-to-day activities in part of your capacity (as Senior Business Control Officer).

In your capacity as Senior Risk & Control Officer for KYC NFR area, you understand risk-based approach and essential risk terms (risks, control objectives, controls, risk assessments, risk response, risk appetite, compliance and non-financial risks in general). You are able to advise on correct interpretation and compliance with the KYC process control standard and FEC policy requirements.


Expectations on your background are:

  • 3-5 years of experience in internal control/ internal audit/ operational risk management/ KYC or compliance
  • 1-3 years of previous (people) leadership experience
  • University education
  • Experience in corporate matrix organizations
  • Control oriented and analytical thinking / judgement aimed on assessing specific risks
  • A real team player with excellent written and oral communication skills while interacting with many departments within the organization
  • Financial institution background is plus
  • Language skills: English - Advanced (C1)

Wage (gross)

  • 4,165 EUR/month*
    * By legal requirement we are providing the information about the basic wage component (minimum salary) for the advertised position. Based on your experience/profile, the final financial conditions will be the subject to discuss and negotiate at the personal interview, however, not less than above mentioned minimum salary component.
