We are looking for a Chapter Lead at ING which is a dual role combining technical expertise with people leadership, reporting to the IT Area Lead. This position drives the continuous improvement of engineering practices through Agile and Continuous Delivery.

You will be a leader in the software engineering community and will remain highly aware of industry trends, bringing the best of global engineering practices to ING.

As part of a dynamic team, the Chapter Lead will deliver innovative digital banking products for Australia, while also working within Squads to advance engineering standards.

What you’ll do …

  • Work across the full lifecycle of software engineering—from idea to production—while leading a team of engineers.

  • Successfully engineer & deliver solutions which meet the needs of our internal and external stakeholders.

  • Coach and mentor engineers and chapter members to strengthen their capabilities and enhance team performance.

  • Act as a role model by continuously developing expertise in industry trends, technologies, and methodologies.

  • Lead the adoption of Agile/Scrum practices and demonstrate agile leadership behaviors.

What we’re looking for…

  • Strong experience in leadership hands-on role working as engineering manager / lead capacity. 

  • Demonstrated experience in IOS development (SWIFT & Objective -C), / android development

  • Expert understanding of tools across full software delivery lifecycle.

  • Strong experience in delivery of sizable software applications and projects

  • Ability to network and stay abreast of changes within the industry and profession.
