Chapter Lead - Data Scientist
Job Overview
- Able to manage a team of data scientists
- Utilize various techniques such as data collection, analytics, data visualization and work with vast amounts of data to produce pertinent insights that enable data-driven solutions for business.
- Utilize data to explore and create models that will help generate insights and recommendations, along with creating reports and visualizations as part of deliverables required by stakeholders such as product owners and senior management
- Effectively communicate the technical background, potential, and importance of the solutions in order to generate an appreciation of the work done; understand the needs of the stakeholders
- Readiness to conduct research and condense knowledge on relevant literature to map and direct the paths towards business solutions
- Ensure data handled are within data policies, standards and regulations in terms of compliance
- Be able to manage stakeholders’ expectations in terms of timelines and deliverable
Key Capabilities/Experience
· 8+ years of experience in data science, with some data engineering and/or other technology related capabilities
· Strong data science background: a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Physics or similar technical field (math or engineering)
· You are strong in machine learning & statistics techniques and have affinity to stay up-to-date with latest developments.
· Proven experience in managing, mentoring, steering a group of several data scientists in a data science project over a longer period of time. & clear vision on how to do so.
· Affinity of working with financial data,
· Experience with a corporate environment and/or the financial industry is not mandatory, but it is useful.
· Because of the big diversity in the team, you will need strong soft- and communication skills.
