What does the Corporate Finance Team do in ING?

ING Corporate Finance team in Hong Kong covers greater China Mergers & Acquisitions (“M&A”) advisory activities. Main business lines include inbound and outbound M&A advisory, Independent Financial Advisory (“IFA”) and monitoring trustee business.

Based in Hong Kong, the role will focus on M&A advisory (mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, advisory etc.) and related activities, in collaboration with ING Corporate Finance team in Singapore, Manila, London, New York and Amsterdam.

What would you be doing?

  • Assisting in sector research and identifying potential buyers/sellers for potential transactions

  • Undertaking industry research and analyses, developing financial models, performing valuation and financial analyses

  • Preparing documents and conducting oral/written translation work

  • Coordinating projects with other professional parties

What qualities and skills are we looking for?

We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria:

Qualification background:

  • Major in STEM / Business / Accounting / Economics / Management / Finance / Law or related majors

  • No working visa required

  • Good academic grades with minimum GPA of 3.3/4.0 or 3.5/4.3.

Activities & interests

Strong interest in corporate finance, valuation, business strategy as demonstrated in extra- / co-curricular activities, case-study competition(s), academic courses, and other relevant activities

Competencies

  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Self-motivated, confident and a high degree of initiative

Skills

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin)
