Mission

This role connects strategy, customer needs and delivery across Business Banking lending (companies with turnover up to EUR 150 mio), with a primary focus on translating financing programs developed with national and international financial institutions into clear, complete and consistent business requirements. The role owns the end-to-end understanding of each program - from setup and origination through servicing, monitoring, reporting and closure - and ensures that program requirements are effectively integrated into the relevant lending flows. Delivery squads remain accountable for the technical implementation, while this role provides the functional direction needed to simplify complexity and create a unitary approach across programs and journeys. When no financing program is being prepared or enhanced, the role supports the broader Customer Journey Expert agenda, improving lending products, processes and digital customer journeys.

About the team

You will join the Business Banking lending area, working at the intersection of strategy, customer needs and delivery. The role collaborates closely with delivery squads and colleagues across Risk, Legal, Operations, Finance and Compliance, as well as with national and international financial institutions. Together, the team translates complex financing program requirements into consistent lending solutions and improves products, processes and digital customer journeys for Business Banking clients.

Your day to day

  • Design and improve customer journeys, lending products and processes, translating complex program, customer and business needs into clear, complete and implementation-ready requirements for delivery squads.
  • Contribute to product vision, roadmap and lifecycle management, balancing customer value, commercial performance, operational efficiency and risk.
  • Provide functional direction and coordinate changes across business, Risk, Legal, Operations, Finance, Compliance and delivery squads, while representing the Tribe with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Own the end-to-end functional understanding of financing programs developed with national and international financial institutions, from setup and origination to servicing, monitoring, reporting and closure.
  • Analyze program terms, eligibility criteria, contractual and operational requirements and servicing implications, translating them into clear business rules, acceptance criteria and complete functional requirements for delivery squads, including scope, dependencies, exceptions and controls.
  • Assess and simplify lending journeys, operational flows and program requirements, promoting reusable solutions and a consistent approach across programs, products and journeys.
  • Coordinate due diligence, requests for proposals, cooperation agreements and program documentation, ensuring obligations are reflected in business requirements, and prepare funding analyses, management updates, training materials and information for audits, controls and partner reporting.
  • Promote financing programs and continuously improve the related products, processes and internal workflows based on customer, business and operational feedback.
  • Support delivery squads throughout refinement, implementation and business acceptance, clarifying functional requirements and validating the intended business logic.
  • Outside financing program initiatives, support broader Business Banking lending products and customer journeys, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and non-financial risk controls and monitoring product, process and P&L performance.

What you bring to the team

  • Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience in product, process or customer journey development, including at least 3 years with financing programs offered by national or international institutions within banking, covering their end-to-end lifecycle.
  • University degree; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of banking products, national and EU financing mechanisms, applicable legislation and the financing program lifecycle, from origination and servicing to monitoring, reporting and closure.
  • Ability to translate complex business and regulatory rules into structured functional requirements and work effectively with delivery squads; experience with automated, manual and hybrid lending flows, digital transformation, operational efficiency, data and IT architecture is a strong advantage.
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder-management and communication skills; autonomous in a matrix organization, with a structured, adaptable, proactive and collaborative mindset.
