The Mission

We are a Business Intelligence squad responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data-driven solutions across the Payments domain. Our solutions provide business stakeholders with trusted insights through ETL processes, data models, and Power BI dashboards that support operational, tactical, and strategic decision-making. 

As a Senior IT Business Analyst, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the engineering team, translating business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications that drive the development of data pipelines, semantic models, and reporting solutions. 

Your day to day 

Business & Requirements Analysis 

• Gather, challenge, and document business requirements from stakeholders across the Payments domain. 

• Translate business needs into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria. 

• Analyze impacts, dependencies, data flows, and cross-system interactions. 

• Ensure requirements are complete, consistent, and aligned with business objectives and data governance standards. 

• Support backlog management and prioritization together with the Product Owner. 

• Maintain functional and technical documentation throughout the solution lifecycle. 

Data Analysis & Solution Design 

• Analyze source systems, data structures, and business processes to understand data requirements. 

• Perform data analysis and data profiling to assess data quality, completeness, and consistency. 

• Define business rules, KPIs, measures, dimensions, and reporting requirements. 

• Create functional specifications and technical documentation for data engineering and BI development teams. 

• Collaborate with engineers on the design of ETL processes, data transformations, and data models. 

• Support onboarding of new data sources and integration of payments-related datasets. 

Power BI & Reporting 

• Create dashboards and reporting solutions. 

• Validate report calculations, measures, and business logic. 

• Contribute to dashboard design discussions, ensuring reporting solutions meet business needs. 

• Support report testing, user acceptance testing, and rollout activities. 

• Drive continuous improvements in reporting usability and data visualization. 

What you’ll bring to the team 

• Experience: 8+ years 
• Strong Business Analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process analysis, and backlog refinement. Experience translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications. 

• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to bridge business and IT teams. 

• Practical experience working Agile in cross-functional teams. 

• Experience working with BI, Analytics, Data Warehouse, and Reporting solutions. 

• Strong Data Analysis skills, including data quality analysis, KPI definition, and business data validation. 

• Advanced SQL knowledge and experience analyzing large datasets. 

• Hands-on experience with Power BI, including data modelling, DAX, and dashboard development. 

• Good understanding of ETL processes, data models, and reporting solutions. 

• Knowledge of Payments domain, including payment flows, reconciliation, settlement, and reporting processes. 

• Familiar with Release Management concepts (minor, major, release notes etc.). 

• Makes sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems. Accurately defines the key elements of complex, ambiguous situations. 

• Experience with the testing process – good understanding of the different types of testing (progression, non-regression, INT, UAT), can elaborate test scenarios in support of INT/UAT and can perform testing if necessary
• Tech stack/ knowledge: 

• Mandatory: affinity for TECH/IT, Microsoft stack (SSAS, SSIS, SQL, PBI) 
• Foreign languages: English (advanced) -Mandatory 
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an Economic or IT related field
